Daylily Collection

When daylilies start to bloom, it marks the fullness of summer, reminding us to savor all that the season has to offer. They are rugged, adaptable, robust perennials that last in a garden for many years with little or no care. They establish quickly, grow vigorously, and survive winters with little or no injury. Each daylily plant produces an abundance of flower buds that open over a long period of time. There are many varieties, a wide range of flower colors, and the flowers continue during the heat of the summer.

Daylilies perform well in full sun to partial shade, given space to expand. They are useful in the perennial flower border, planted in large masses, or as a ground cover on slopes, where they form a dense mat in just a few years.

Cider Hill offers both field grown and potted hemerocallis (daylilies) for sale. Daylily blossoms come in a wide variety shapes from trumpet, recurved, triangular, circular, star, spider, double, double hose-in-hose, or ruffed. When you stroll through our gardens, you can choose between the vast array of colors and patterns (called bands, halos, eyes, or watermarks). Select from plants that bloom early, mid- or late-season. We are always available to help guide you in your selections and to provide cultural information to help ensure your success.

Please note: We have more plants than we can list and not all plants are available at all times.
