Green signifies the long awaited arrival of spring, the lushness of the growing season, and the urgent need to be environmentally responsible. For the past 24 years, our practices at Cider Hill Gardens have always been green, as that is where our hearts and minds have always been!

We are completely chemical free—our own soil mix is organically-based using Vermont Compost, loam, leaf mold, peat, perlite, RootShield, and other organic amendments. Our young plants are also fed fish, kelp and bone meal, which they thrive on. We pride ourselves on raising strong, healthy, and vibrant plants, and work to educate our customers on best growing practices for the plant collections we offer. We invite you to pick up free plant literature and join us for our series of free garden talks described below.

Happy green gardening, Gary and Sarah Milek.

We’re easy to find! Cider Hill is 2-1/2 miles from the traffic light in the center of Windsor, where you turn onto State Street. At the end of State Street, continue up the hill to Hunt Road—do not bear right toward the hospital.

When you think you’ve gone too far, you’re almost there! Look for our sign on the left.
